#25011 Christmas cook needed for 2-3 days Wiltshire BA15
A lovely family is looking for a cook for the Christmas period.
They are open to two options:
Option 1: Local cook who would come in to do dinner on the 23rd and the 24th plus the Christmas day lunch on the 25th. They would then be able to go home each day. This is their ideal set up!
Option 2: If unable to find a local cook they are ok with someone coming to work the 24th and the 25th (dinner maybe lunch too on the 24th plus the big meal on the 25th) and for them to stay at a local B&B/Pub room which they will cover the cost for. Unfortunately the house is full to the brim with family and they do not have room for the cook.
Dinners on the 23rd and 24th will be for 8 adults no children. Courses to be canapes, starter, main, cheese which they will source. Plus an easy dessert that can be left on the side for people to help themselves to – like a nice lemon tart. Cook would need to serve the food (to be plated most likely) and clear the kitchen up and then can leave, family is happy to stack the plates. They would like to cook to lay out the table before the meal though. They are looking for a delicious meal, but not too heavy given xmas day is around the corner.
Christmas Day: the classic Christmas meal please. Most likely plated but open to discussion. Again cook needs to lay the table, serve the food, wash up and then is OK to leave and family can do the plates at the end of the meal. There will be 11 people (including 3 kids). One child has a dairy intolerance but is only 1 ½ so they just ask no butter to be put on the veg but olive oil is fine.
They want a family friendly cook who is used to family being in and out of the kitchen (though client says kitchen is big and they shouldn’t be in your way too much!).
15th C Manor house with big kitchen and an AGA so the cook must be confident in AGA cooking.
Please let me know if you are interested, client is aware it is double rates so is OK to pay £500-600 per day total.
